Why We Write

We write to tell a story…to explain, to persuade or influence. In general, though, writing is not simply a form of communication; it is an art form, and a mighty tool… mightier even than the sword. It can be used for good or ill, it can inspire greatness, joy, sadness, or violence. At IndED we immerse ourselves in ideas. About love and friendship, justice, courage, heroes and villains, angels and demons, galaxies and atoms, life and death. And we seek to communicate better, through writing, reading, speaking, listening and thinking. If you’re ready, ask about our Writing and Language Arts Class or full-curricular program.

(IndED’s Writing and Language Arts Program is available for enrollment for the fall.)
