“The Young Citizen” Program – Taxes
Today’s special guest is: Roger Zurn, long-time Loudoun County Treasurer, who has great insight into the ins and outs of how local government is funded. The topic of the night is:
“How much taxes is enough?”
The discussion will be around different kinds of taxes, who pays them, who benefits, why they are one of life’s two most self-evident certainties, and what is the fairest way to approach taxation.
Special Guests will speak for anywhere from 15 to 30 minutes depending on questions. They’ll be local entrepreneurs, public officials, non-profit executives. They will also remain afterwards to participate in the discussion (topic of the week). The “Communication Station” will be open with tool designed to help you become a better communicator.
